I’m Caro Townsend, an author currently braving the query trenches with my debut novel: Soured Fruit.

I write women’s contemporary fiction, and like to use my storytelling to explore societal attitudes, especially with regard to women and the perception of choice.

I’m a journalist by training, and the creator of an internationally award-winning fertility blog. My freelance articles have appeared in numerous online and print publications around the globe, and I have had the honour of working alongside charities and organisations to help break taboos. It was through my fertility writing that the spark of Soured Fruit was first set alight.

Words are my happy place as is the great outdoors. When I’m not writing, I can be found stomping across the Sussex countryside with my family and dog, or heading down to the coast for a good dose of sea air.
